Our privately situated villa is located on a hilltop between the villages of Canillas de Aceituno and Alcaucin and offers spectacular 360-degree views. At our villa, you can hear the silence…
From the terrace, you can see the deep blue reservoir “La Viñuela” and the “Zafaraya” gap. Even the Mediterranean is visible in the distance from our balcony.

Luxury and Comfort

With a lot of love and attention to detail, our villa (± 130m² / 1,400 ft²) has been completely renovated in 2016 and can comfortably accommodate 8 people. The villa has 3 bedrooms with each a private bathroom. The guesthouse is located next to the villa and offers an additional bedroom and bathroom. The newly renovated open kitchen and dining room offers a panoramic view of the Zafaraya and provides all the necessary amenities. The living room is separated from the kitchen and dining room by a double-sided fireplace.

Canillas de Aceituno (Andalucia) is a typical Spanish mountain village which is part of the Axarquia region and is located just 30 minutes from the beach town of Torre del Mar. At Casa de Pilares you will find peace and privacy. Should you want to step away than the area offers a lot.
Bustling Malaga is just an hour away. Closer by you will find the Spanish villages Alcaucín and Canillas de Aceituno for a cup of coffee or a nice restaurant. The well-known tourist resort of Nerja is only a 45-minute drive away. The cities of Sevilla, Granada, Ronda, and Cordoba are perfect for a day trip. Outside the bustle of the cities, you can fully enjoy the natural beauty of the Axarquía region.

Newly renovated for stylish comfort and to maximise the stunning views, this four bedroom villa offers serene privacy and sublime poolside lounging. At 600m elevation, the property overlooks Lake Vinuela on one side, the Mediterranean to the south, and mountains all around.

Three ample bedrooms sit within the main house, while a separate, self-contained suite opens directly onto the pool terrace. Peace and quiet are the order of the day here, though beaches and city life are within easy reach.

In 2015 we accidentally ran into an abandoned house at the top of the Loma de La Caceria hill. It was clear that the house had been uninhabited for years. We saw an opportunity so started to try to find the original owners which ended up taking several months. The search paid off; the owners were keen, and we were excited to acquire it. After two years of renovating with Spanish professionals, we are more than proud of the result; Casa de Pilares.

This is what our guests think

This house is amazing! We had three couples and we all had our own space and private baths. The views are incredible and the outdoor space around the pool area is very comfortable and relaxing, a quiet getaway. We had Alan’s friend David cook us a meal our first night and it was perfectly prepared and enjoyable. Alan was a great host, easy to communicate with, and attentive to our needs.

De routebeschrijving naar het meeting point werd goed beschreven, waar we vriendelijk onthaald werden door een lokale bewoner die ons door de bergpas gidste naar de woning. Eens aangekomen konden we genieten van een prachtige woning met een prachtig zicht over het dal. De woning was nog beter dan de foto's al deed vermoeden. We raden andere verblijvers wel aan om tijdig naar de winkel te gaan om eten en drinken in te slaan want een supermarkt is niet direct in de buurt en je moet de bergpas terug op en af, wat voor gedurfde chauffeurs is. Een kleine superrette is wel te vinden in het dorpje Alcaucin waar je het hoognodige kan vinden. Eens gesetteld is het heerlijk verblijven in deze woning!

If you want breath taking views and chance to totally unplug and relax this is the house to be at! We had a wonderful time and Alan was absolutely amazing. We had a massage therapist come to house and a wonderful chef who gave us a 5 star experience from the comfort of our home. We will be back.
